Join us for a Reformation Hymn Sing as we celebrate Reformation Day, which commemorates the Reformation movement started by Martin Luther in the 16th century. Sunday evening, October 27 we’re joining together at Covenant Life Community Church at 6:00 p.m.

The “Counseling Theology, Practice and Issues” class meets every Friday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The class covers biblical counseling model and methods and the following counseling issues: helping hurting people, depression and anxiety, anger and conflict, gender and sexuality, grief and hope. This class is open to all and would be helpful for all those who counsel, disciple, mentor, lead growth groups, teach, and do evangelism; as well as those who would like to be lay counselors at URC. The class begins Friday October 4 and runs through May. Contact Pat Quinn with any questions.
The class reviews basic Biblical teachings on what it means to be a Christian, the nature of revelation, sin and salvation, the sacraments, worship, and faithful communion with God. About URC also paints a picture of what it means to be a part of our church family. The 10-week class will start Sunday, September 15.

URC Women are invited to join an evening Bible study that meets two evenings a month beginning mid-September. There are three meeting options:
- Wednesdays at URC (starting September 25)
- Thursdays in Holt (starting September 26)
- Thursdays on Zoom (TBD)
We will be studying the book of Ephesians which is rich in doctrine, instruction, and encouragement. We will have a special emphasis on learning tools for studying and reading the Bible well as we consider Ephesians. Study materials will be provided.

To promote equipping the saints for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:12) URC is offering its Biblical and Theological Foundations course this Summer on Sunday mornings. If you are interested in growing in your knowledge of Scripture and theology, and your ability to minister the Word to those around you, this class is for you. The class is a prerequisite for those interested in serving URC as an elder or deacon one day, but it is open to all members of the church — both men and women — with a heart to grow in leadership in the church. Meets Thursday mornings from 6:30-7:45 a.m., beginning September 12. Contact Chip Cogan for more info.
URC women are invited to join us every other Wednesday from 9:30am – 11:30am in the Fellowship Hall, beginning September 18th
This year we begin Kevin DeYoung’s newest book, “Daily Doctrine: A One Year Guide to Systematic Theology“. Books will be provided at our first meeting. Join us for book discussion, testimony panels, guest speakers, wonderful fellowship and great food! Childcare provided, homeschool classes offered. Registration is open now through September 1st.
